Overview

This is a beautiful, mellow ancient Tuscan 'podere' (farmhouse) in the very heart of Tuscany, framed by venerable oaks and cypresses, which protect the house on its hillside. Casa Luana is conveniently located within 1 hour motoring of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and sandy beaches along the Tuscan coast.
The owner has devoted a great deal of attention to detail in the sensitive modernisation of this large structure to enhance the original beauty. Features such as a huge fireplace and the large open plan areas have been maintained to give the whole space a feeling of airy brightness conducive to a sensation of tranquillity. This is the perfect location in which to recharge ones batteries, away from the humdrum of daily life. A surprising achievement given that Radicondoli, the local municipality and ancient unspoilt medieval fortress is only 5 minutes away and Belforte the nearest medieval fortress only 10 minutes on foot.

There is a large, arched furnished portico entrance, with an old wood oven. The front door opens into a big sitting room with a splendid Tuscan fireplace and comfortable furniture. An open doorway leads to the well-lit kitchen/dining room where, if you like, you can enjoy meals prepared by the owner, a famous chef in the area.



There is a passage room with a desk and a double sofa bed, a shower room with washing machine and a large double bedroom with an extra single bed. At the other end of the sitting room are two double bedrooms. An open tread, wooden staircase leads up to a large double bedroom and a bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate shower stall.
