Location & area

The district covering Montalbano hills offers a wide range of fascinating themed itineraries, from the historical ones, including the different Renaissance Medicean villas, among which Villa Fernanda in Artimino, called also Villa dei cento Camini Villa Ambra in Poggio Caiano, surrounded by a beautiful Italian garden, created thanks to a project commissioned by Elisa Baciocchi, Grand Duchess of Lucca and Piombino, to the wine and oil route with the production of a very high DOP and IGP quality oil, while the Chianti wine of Montalbano obtained the DOCG denomination since already 1984. In this territory there is a strong commitment in the effort and use of the appropriate technique for those typical niche products obtained from the organic farming.
Monsummano Terme (baths)
A little historic and literary village offering a golf course club, green fee 18 holes, an excellent beauty and health centre, Grotta Giusti, offering a huge thermal bath, thermal cave, mud baths, beauty treatments, a very professional service of personalized treatments, always close to the horse riding and wing shooting centre.
The Padule di Fucecchio natural oasis, 1,800 hectares of Tuscan humid area, the biggest one inland Italy. A protected area of great naturalistic interest, due to its flora and fauna to be discovered with guided tours or in mountain bikes excursions.

Of all the cities, Pistoia is one of the main Tuscan cities and is only a few minutes' drive away from the Holidays House . Its gothic-romanesque style offers as an interesting site for visitors, in particular the Cathedral Square, whose historical buildings of the X and XII centuries have been completely restored.
