Overview

Nestled in the foothills of the Abruzzo Maiellas, Casa Olivia is 20 mins from a ski resort and 40 from the sea in the hamlet of Garifoli, about half a mile from the village of Serramonacesca. It is detached and very tranquil. It comfortably sleeps 7 people in 3 bedrooms. Recently completely renovated, we have worked hard to retain the character of this ancient Maiella stone property that once housed the curate of the famous San Liberatore Abbey. The floors are stone and terracotta; there are wooden ceilings and newly fitted shuttered windows and gas central heating.
There are 3 bedrooms (2 double and one with 2 single beds), a family shower room and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is newly fitted, with a fridge, freezer, gas hob and electric oven and there is a washing.
There is a characterful dining room a living room with open log fire, a DVD player and DVDs. A door opens onto the terrace with spectacular views over rolling hills and the Maiella mountains. There is a barbecue on the terrace for Summer dining, an outside table, chairs and a large parasol to protect you from the Italian sun. There is also an area of dappled shade, perfect for snoozing at Siesta time.
The garden gently slopes with olive, walnut and persimon trees and there is a private drive with ample parking.
A river runs through the valley below with plunge pools perfect for cooling off in the hot Italian sun. This is spectacular walking country with an abundance of wildlife. Other activities include horseriding, visiting the historic villages, monuments, Abbeys and castles. The thermal baths at Caramanica Terme are 30 minutes away and the region boasts 21 ski areas with 368 kms of runs.

Deposit of 25% payable on confirmation unless within 6 weeks of departure. Full payment required 6 weeks prior to departure
