Overview

Apartment Damiano
Patio doors lead from the spacious apartment to the tranquillity of the 'cortile' or indoor courtyard, the pool area and the alfresco dining area directly outside. The ground floor of the old barn has exposed wooden ceilings and original stonework features.
There is a double and twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms. The large open plan lounge has a wood burning stove, comfortable sofa bed and a dining room leading onto a modern well equipped kitchen with oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
The area closest to the house has various settings designed for your free time and relaxation. You can choose between the 14m pool and large patio area, surrounding gardens, the covered loggia (a shady escape from the afternoon sun) or the indoor courtyard garden to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Marche Villa lies 1 kilometre from the Sibillini National Park that protects the wildlife and medieval villages in this beautiful and dramatic stretch of the Appennine Mountains, Le Marche. The whole area is a walker's paradise with many mountain paths, guided walks, and a stunning array of wildlife and wild flowers. The bustling spa town of Sarnano is 1 kilometre away. Sarnano has a wealth of character architecture, restaurants, bars and a helpful tourist office.

Amenities & services

Our 14-metre pool is sufficiently large to give several parties their own space in the pool itself, and in the large south-facing sunbathing area.

Between the house and the barn we have an indoor courtyard garden or cortile, a glorious place to relax with a drink or eat alfresco and enjoy the spectacular view through the vine covered arch to Sarnano and the surrounding lush green countryside. We have an organic fruit and vegetable garden for the use of our guests.

We have ensured that all kitchens are well equipped with new ovens, crockery and cutlery. We know that if you are coming to Italy you must enjoy your food so we have made sure that the knives are sharp and the pans big enough for that Ragu.

All apartments have a Television, CD and DVD player and SKY TV in both English and Italian. We also have WiFi access. We have a road bike and a selection of new mountain bikes for your use. The Villa has 'Bocci' balls available, which are the Italian equivalent of French 'petanque' or bowls and badminton and tennis raquets. For 2009 we will also have a swing and childrens play area.

There is a communal washing machine. Bed linen, towels etc are all provided. However, guests are advised to bring their own towels for swimming and the beach. If you are staying for more than one week, bed linens and towels will be changed each weekend.

All apartments have gas central heating. Please note that there is an extra charge for any heating.

Babysitting-It is possible to arrange a baby sitting/listening service at the Villa. Also, highchairs and a cot are available for our guests to use. Please ask at the point of booking to confirm availability.

Sarnano has numerous restaurants, a colourful weekly market and fishmongers, 7 butchers, a great array of delicatessens, 3 Supermarkets, bars, shops, churches, a park, football pitch, crazy golf and a music pub that opens late.

We are happy to make dinner reservations for you if your italian isn't up to scratch.
