Overview

This apartment is situated in the heart of Trastevere, one of the most beautiful and characteristic district of Rome, and this wonderful apartment is in front of the wonderful Isola Tiberina in a beautiful old building with internal yard. There are also supermarkets in Viale Trastevere and an open market in Piazza S. Cosimato. If you wish to walk in big green open spaces, you will find in the area the Botanical Gardens, Villa Sciarra and Villa Pamphili.

It has excellent connections with other parts of Rome using public transports such as the tram n°8 on Viale Trastevere that connects Monteverde area to the heart of the historical centre. You can also enjoy walking along the small cobblestones streets to reach the Pantheon, Piazza Navona or Campo dei Fiori. The apartment, with air conditioning, measuring 50 sq meters on the second floor, is quiet because it is on a small internal street and the back of the apartment faces an internal courtyard.

The apartment is reached by climbing two flights of stone stairs. Upon entering, one is struck by the high ceilings and the warm homey atmosphere, created by the fine quality of furnishings and soft, warm light. The living room, with fireplace, has a plush armchair and couch which opens to a very comfortable double sofa bed. The independent small kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove and electric oven. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower. The dining area with table and chairs has a window which looks out onto the courtyard. A small balcony looks onto the internal courtyard and holds the washing machine. A wooden staircase with banister leads to the loft area with double bed and small desk. A full bathroom with shower completes the upper living area. A TV and stereo are available for you during your stay.

Location & area

Trastevere is one of the oldest and typical neighbourhood of the city. The narrow paved streets and allays are plenty of cinemas, cafés and restaurants with tables scattered in the pavement, mostly at Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere and in Viale Trastevere. The churches of Santa Cecilia and San Francesco a Ripa are very remarkable. In few minutes you can reach the splendid park of the Gianicolo, which overlooks the Tevere river. You can easily reach the downtown by the streetcar n° 8, which takes you to the heart of Rome, or just walking ten minutes you can quickly arrive to Campo dei Fiori.
