Overview

Comprising two newly furnished bedrooms, one large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace and a bathroom with shower the entire 100 square meters apartment has been totally renovated and furnished between late 2007 and February 2008. It is finally ready now to be the best spot to visit Rome for you and your party of friends or family!

The apartment is located at 1st floor with elevator in a typical Italian building in beautiful Monteverde / Janiculum area with brand new furniture.
The parent’s bedroom is very bright with two windows, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and it sleeps two adults in a comfortable queen sized bed.
The Children’s bedroom is open on a terrace and can sleep up to 3 adults in single standard beds. We do also have a davenport in the living room that can accommodate up to 2 adults.

Location & area

The apartment is only a few steps away from the Villa Pamphili Park and the famous Gianicolo viewpoint, at the heart of one of Rome’s noblest and most sought-after neighbourhood : Monteverde vecchio. It’s composed of narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. Nearby you will find everything to make your stay in Rome a pleasant memory: chic bars, pizzerias and restaurants as well as all kinds of shops. You can walk, catch the no. 710 bus or take the metro ( which stops three blocks away from the apartment) to reach Saint Peter’s and Vatican City ( 1 stop) or the Trastevere quarter (1 stop), with its many small alleys and dining places (the Romans recommend this place for its good food). Walking distance from there you can reach Piazza Venezia and Rome’s historic centre (Via del Corso, the Spanish Steps, the Fountain of Trevi, Piazza Navona, Pantheon etc.). Ancient Rome with its fora and monuments is also close to Piazza Venezia.

The area is also home to John Cabot University, the American Academy in Rome, Roberto Benigni’s residence ( actor and director of “ La Vita è bella” ) the unique character of this neighbourhood has attracted artists, expats, and many famous people.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers.   • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
