Overview

Beauty and tranquility for a home in the green heart of Italy Ciociaria:

a little village at 10 km from Cassino (five minutes far from the A1 highway) located in a place where the landscape is truly incredible... among art, nature, sport and eno-gastronomic appeals.
Very close to the village it's possible to play a lot of sports, like rafting (only few weekends) and hiking on the waters of Melfa River, climbing on the mountains (Cairo and Asparto) or climbing the limestone rock walls between ancient ruins (only for expert and equipped climbers), horse-racing and mountain-biking along the medieval paths still linking the little villages. Public swimming-pool and equipped faces for climbing in the neighbourhood.
The Ciociaria offers many gastronomic appeals too, like monte Cairo black truffles, cheeses and salami, extra-vergine olive oil and wines, and finally elegant restourants like Villa Euchelia and La Locanda del Castello.
Ten minute far from the house you can enjoy an impressive walk in the medieval village Caprile, but if walking is not your thing, then you can spend your time relaxing under the sun, and possibly spend time at Sperlonga beach, the best beach in Lazial coast.

Roccasecca is a picturesque town not far from the Benedictine monastery of Montecassino. Saint Thomas Aquinas was born there into a noble family and the remaining of his castle dominate the landscape. The town has a wide project of re-launching tourism in the area through the valorisation of tourist sites, churches and Saint Thomas's castle. Roccasecca is less than 1 hour drive from Rome and Naples and enjoyable all seasons with sea (Sperlonga Villagge 50min by car) and mountain destinations within the radius of 30 kms (National Parck of Abbruzzo Mountains).
Ciociaria is the name of an italian region, strategically situated in the heart of Italy, between Rome and Naples. It's the ideal starting point to explore the whole Country. The province of Frosinone, called Ciociaria (cho-cha-REE-a), is not very well known among tourists, because is "off the beaten track, but this land rewards generously its visitors with unspoilted nature, magnificent abbeys, archaeological treasures, genuine food and deep traditions. Furthermore, the great advantage for visitors is that Rome and other famous destinations are just a few miles away.

Location & area

The house is based on an ancient ruin and is surmounted by a characteristic catholic chapel. Independent outside door access by 20 steps staircase.

On the ground floor: big living/dining room with a large and comfortable wood table for 6-8, small living room with cozy natural fireplace and double sofa bed , comfortably chairs; kitchen equipped with electric stoves, fridge, freezer and a large choice of pottery and utensils; two suitably large sized double rooms (one fully equipped for 3-6 year kids), up to 6 beds, one large bathroom with shower and bathtub ; small balcony with delicious landscape on the garden and very large terrace with amazing view on the valley (ideal for lunch or dinner ).
