Overview

Spacious, comfortable and secluded farmhouse with chestnut beams, gardens, terraced olive groves, and pinewood. Hilltop village, shops 3 minutes away. Cascading stream 5 minutes walk. Peaceful spot, wonderful views. Flowers and roaring fires in spring: life al fresco and sunshine in summer: chestnuts & autumn tints later. Local hill walking - mountain & coast walking nearby.

1st floor: 2 double bedrooms and one very large bedroom (especially suitable for children).

The steep hilly country around Pariana above Collodi (birthplace of Pinocchio) north east of the walled city of Lucca is becoming ever better known. Excellent traditional restaurants nearby. The area is cooler than the plain and within reach of nountains and coast and borders the spectacular Garfagnana. Florence, Pisa, coast 1 hour.
