This is the house where our adventure started.
Its not easy to say if its more or less beautiful than the others but it sure is a wonderful house built on a unique location. It was constructed in the middle of the 19th century with the bricks that the property produced and with all the magic of these valleys. The structure, only one floor but with different levels, is situated on the top of the hill and has a view in all directions over the land, the lake, the grazing cows, the wheat and the barley.
A beautiful place to free yourself from your thoughts or to think new thoughts.

The 500 hectares of the estate offer ample possibilities for visitors to explore and enjoy the unique features of this countryside: 20 km of signposted paths invite you to take long excursions whether walking or on mountain bike, through cultivated fields, pastures populated by chianine cows and enchanting woods.
The estates lake is the ideal place to observe numerous species of birds or to practice fly fishing or spinning while attempting to catch black bass. Like the numerous pools that have been created in order to allow drinking water for the livestock, the lake is a beautiful setting at which to relax, read and pass hours of tranquillity.
SEARCHING FOR TRUFFLES
Barbialla Nuova is located in the centre of an area famous for its San Miniato white truffles, this is one of the few areas in the world where this rare and precious tuber is found.
All'Inside an exclusive reserve you can share the experience of searching for truffles in the company of experienced truffle finders.
From October to December (booking required), small groups maximum six people will meet in the early morning and set off into the woods to observe the activities of specially-trained dogs, whose ultra-developed sense of smell locates the truffles. The search lasts about three hours.

- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers.
