Overview

Sleeping 6-10 with 4 bedrooms Casa Roberti is a well furnished house with patio and gardens. Immersed in beautiful woodland and olive groves. Miles of tracks on the doorstep ideal for walking, hiking and mountain biking.Within the Monte Pisani hills, Casa Roberti occupies 4 hectares of woodland, olive groves and garden, although secluded and tranquil we are only 10 minutes from Lucca Centre and only 20 minutes from Pisa Airport. Perfect for exploring Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, the Garfagnana, the fabulous coastline of Versillia to the north or the Tirrenia Coastline to the south. The house is approached via a 2km white Road up through the woods with gravelled driveway to the door and has a patio area, with dining furniture, seating, a trampoline for children and a small above ground swimming pool for guest's use. There is a stream running through the woodland and we have our own small natural pond where you can sit in the shade with a good book. There is also a cave and a ruin to explore close by. If you wish to venture further on foot, you can take one of the marked walks to the nearby pretty villages of Coselli and Vorno.

Location & area

Just down the hill in Coselli, (6 mins Drive) there is a newsagents, take away pizza shop, butchers, hairdressers, barbers, dry cleaners and 2 bars (one very local and one new and modern) there is also a new Enoteca (cheese and wine shop) which sells a wide selection of interesting varieties which you can try on the premises.
There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute drive, one a five star.
There are also a number of bars and a great home made ice cream parlour just down the road.

The nearest Post Office is in Guamo (open all day) and has a cash machine about 7 minutes drive from the property.
The nearest bank is by the large Esselunga Supermarket in San Concordio which is about 10 minutes, just outside the walls of Lucca.
A more local Coop supermarket is in Guamo about 5 minutes and there is also a good baker in Guamo who makes fresh bread every morning.

Casa Roberti is located within 10 mins drive from the historical walled city of Lucca. The 16th Century walls that surround it provide wonderful views across the city, popular with walkers, cyclists, both locals and tourists alike. Inside the city there is plenty of great shopping ranging from unique local shops to designer brands. The city also has many museums, beautiful churches and every day, somewhere in the city there is a classical music concert. There are also many restaurants ice cream and coffee shops.

Situated amongst the hills surrounding Lucca there is the 'strada di Vino' which is a marked wine trail to various vineyards which are open the the public where you can sample the wines and buy direct.

The area also boasts many historic villas with beautiful gardens which are open to the public.

To the South towards Pisa, there is the fabulous San Rossore Park a protected area on the coast, with many beautiful walks and activities including horse riding.

There are golf courses at Forte Dei Marmi approx 40 minutes drive, Montecatini also approx 40 minutes drive.

Abetone ski resort is approx 1.5 hours drive, there is good skiing for all abilities and good facilities.

Please note that the property is reached via a gravel road going up through the woods. The road whilst suitable for all vehicles is a little bumpy and is not lit at night.

The area immediately outside the house is gravelled and there is a patio area to the side, with dining furniture, barbecue sun loungers etc, there is also a large trampoline. There are also terraces with olive and fruit trees.

The woodland surrounding the house is ideal for walking, exploring and mountain biking (bikes can be hired in Lucca).
