The house itself is elegant and comfortable and perfect for groups of families. Happy days can be spent enjoying the large private pool, exploring the 10 acres of land and fishing in the stream. For those who want to explore the area there is much to see including Lake Bolsena where you can swim, water ski, jet ski, explore the lake on pedelos and visit the beautiful island of Bisenti by boat. The city of Orvieto is only 30 minutes away and a visit will keep shoppers, historians and gastronomes happy all day long. Nearer home is the fascinating 'dying city' of Civita di Bagnoregio, a tiny town perched on the top of what remains of a an earthquake 300 years ago, it is reached by foot along a long sturdy bridge and offers spectacular panoramic views. For more information please contact us for our website address.
The Yellow House is a stylish, converted farmhouse built on 3 floors and set within its own 10 acres of land, behind the house is an olive grove and in front a beautiful view of the valley below. The house has kept many of its original features including terracotta floors and the roof constructed with exposed beams and terracotta tiles. It is simply decorated and furnished with a combination of rustic and modern Italian furniture and is centrally heated.
THE GROUND FLOOR
Living room with large stone fireplace, a well equipped kitchen, a hallway which leads to two ground floor double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a utility room with washing machine.
THE FIRST FLOOR
The central staircase made of the local stone Basaltina, leads first to a small landing with a balcony overlooking the newly planted olive grove and then to two double bedrooms and en-suite shower rooms.
THE SECOND FLOOR
The central staircase continues to the two second floor double bedrooms.
The large private swimming pool (5m x 15m) is set in secluded and peaceful surroundings on the side of the hill. Around the perimeter of the pool is a mature rosmanry bush providing a beautiful perfume in the evenings and fresh herbs for cooking. The marbel patio is spacious with plenty of room for the 8 sunloungers. In the garden there are 3 large garden tables and outside seating for 20 people. There is a lantern in the oak tree which provides the perfect light for intimate suppers or large parties in the evening. There is a large pizza oven which is great fun to use for cooking pizzas, joints of meat etc. The garden is informal. and the area around the house has space to park several cars. There are plenty of places to explore on the land including 3 small caves and a stream at the end of the bottom field from where it is possible to fish for trout. We have one neighbour but neither of the houses are overlooked. For more information and photographs please contact us for our website address.
