A car is not necessary as public transport is very good. For those who wish to hire a car, a private garage in the centre of Amalfi can be arranged at a daily rate of Euro 18,00. The garage will pick-up & deliver the car at the apartment whenever clients need to use the car or drop it off with a charge of Euro 6,00.
Without a car, the steps down to Amalfi and the centre are long and shallow rather than steep and are easy to negotiate.
