Overview

Pilgrims Rest is situated adjacent to Mount Melleray Abbey and is located 20 minutes from both Dungarvan and Clonmel, and close to the pretty fishing village of Cappoquin and near the herritage town of Lismore.

A family run country house , Pilgrim's Rest is surrounded by beautiful mountain views and is adjacent to the famous Mount Melleray Abbey. Close to the Blackwater River, it is an excellent fishing area and an angler's paradise.

The bedrooms all have en suite facilities and are equipped with colour TV and direct dial telephone.

A full breakfast is served each morning and is included in the price.

Hot food is served daily. There is also a tea room and gardens for our guests to relax in. The restaurant is open to non residents and is licenced.

Cappoquin is situated on the northern bank of the River Blackwater, 15 miles from Dungarvan, 55 miles from Waterford City, and 7 miles from Lismore. To Mount Melleray from Cappoquin is 4 miles.



Once you get to Cappoquin follow the signs to Mount Melleray, approximately 3 miles turn right at the cats bar you will then go past the Mount Melleray Grotto on your left, straight up another quarter of a mile and you will find us, the Mount Melleray gates to the abbey is to the left, just past us.
