Overview

You will recieve a warm friendly reception to our home.Our accommadation is purpose built with separate guest entrance,with comfortable beds and ensuite rooms with power showers.A full freshly cooked breakfast ,to guests order, is included in price.The house is 40 minutes from Dublin Airport and close to main regular bus route to Dublin City.We are situated on quite road near very good hotel,pub and restaurant,and close to thriving town of Navan.The town has a large selection of restaurants pubs and shopping facilities.The area around is in the beautifull Boyne valley with the river a short walk.This is the most historical and ancient area of Ireland with the Hill of Tara ,the seat of the High Kings close by.The visitor centre of World Heritage Site of Newgrange,Knowth and Dowth,which are neolithic burial sites,are a short drive away.The Battle of the Boyne site is in the same area as are a large selection of Castles, Round Towers,and Monastic settlements and ruins. For the sporting enthusiast you can have Fishing,Golf, Horse Riding and Racing.We will do all we can to insure you visit will be a pleasant and memorable one.

Directions to Ash Cottage B+B

If traveling from Dublin Airport you will have to travel towards Dublin on M1 then exit to travel south on m50 then exit to the N3 towards Navan/Cavan.after about 20 km you will travel through village of Dunshaughlin. Continue on N3 and after another 20 km you will come to a traffic light before bridge over river Boyne. At far side of bridge you will see a pub on left called Old Bridge Inn. Look for Sherlocks Furniture and b+b sign. Travel up this road beside pub car park for short distance and you will see sign for Ash Cottage on left.Travel time is about 40 minutes depending on time of day. Safe journey.



If travelling to Navan from either Kells,.Trim, or Slane take the N3 towards Dublin the river Boyne will be on your left.you will pass under the railway bridge, then a petrol station called Maxol. You will then come to a traffic light, and immediately after you will see a sign for the Ardboyne Hotel on the right. Turn right off the N3 at sign and pass by the entrance to hotel. Travel down road past rugby club on right. Continue for a short distance down road. There will be red brick houses on right with a wall with black railings on your right. You will see sign for ash cottage b+b on right.
