Overview

As a family owned and operated guesthouse, we at Kilronan House appreciate that there is nothing better than staying somewhere that feels like home while you're away on holidays or working abroad.

Built in 1834, this Georgian townhouse's impressive design was restored to its original grandeur and opened as a guesthouse over 60 years ago. Since then a further refurbishment has enabled us to combine the homeliness that has always been present in Kilronan House with modern décor, bringing the guesthouse up to 21st century standards.

Guests are welcomed to the guesthouse with tea and coffee which is served in our comfortable sitting area. It is here that you can use the complimentary internet access which will ensure you keep up to date with all the news from home.

Located on all 4 floors of the guesthouse, our rooms feature full private bathrooms, flat screen televisions, phone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The bedding consists of either 1 double bed or 2 single beds.

Also offering single, triple and family rooms, Kilronan House can accommodate groups and independent travellers who are starting or finishing their Ireland holiday in Dublin.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
