This three bedroomed charming 100 year cottage has just been recently renovated to a high standard and makes the most of its surrounding. Alot of the character of the cottage has been kept. It is deceptively spacious, bright and airy. The living & dining area are open plan with the kitchen at the rear of the property.

The cottage is in a sunny setting with glorious views of the countryside and Bantry Bay. It is private and secluded, yet it is only 2.5 minutes from the local fishing village of Castletownbere. The cottage is nestled in the mountains, taking advantage of the Beara countryside.

It has its own private entrance and ample parking for cars. The only traffic you should meet on the road is the sheep grazing on this working sheep farm. The cottage has a patio area at the front, making the most of the scenic views.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and stresses. This cottage needs to be seen to be believed.

Location & area

There are many walking routes around Beara, called the Beara Way. The peninsula is completely encircled by the Beara Way, which offers a combination of mountain and coastal scenery. The route uses minor roads, tracks and paths, passing a number of small towns and delightful villages, with history and heritage often to the fore.

The Beara Way features a number of routes, as well as optional circuits of Bere Island and Dursey Island.



The cottage is situated near the Kerry border so it is the ideal base to tour Cork and Kerry. There are many activities to do around the area including walking, cycling, hill walking, fishing, golfing, sailing and horse riding.
