Overview

€œHelidonia Villas€ is a group of 4 independent residences for holidays, bounded by stone walls, situated in the Cretan countryside but not far away of the tourist area.

Villa Stefanos is a newly build ground floor villa with accommodation up to 6 persons. The entire inside living area is situated on one level, with 3 bedrooms: one bedroom with 1 double bed and two bedrooms with 2 single beds each. One bathroom with bath, WC, basin & washing machine and a second WC with basin.
For each villa we offer following facilities:
. 100 m2 inside living area.
. Private pool with an outside shower to refresh yourself and a safety fence for small children.
. Large tiled patio around pool with relaxing sun lounges and parasol. There is soft lightning in and around the pool/garden area for the evening.
. Spacious shaded veranda by the entrance with outside dining table and chairs.
. Balconies
. Garage
. Windows and balcony doors are provided with shutters.
. Central heating in all rooms for the chiller periods.
Bedrooms
. Bedrooms have built in wardrobes, air-conditioning unit (cool/heat), large mirror, small TV unit with Greek channels, as well as the foreign satellite channel chosen at the saloon area. Baby cot on request (free).
Living area
. A spacious open plan living area.
. The dining room has a dining table and chairs.
. The sitting room with a triple and double sofa.
. LCD TV in sitting area offering Greek channels and hot bird satellite connection for foreign channels.
. Air-conditioning unit (cool/heat).
. Open fire place in the sitting area.
Kitchen
. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, ceramic cooking plate, hob/extractor fan, large fridge with freezer, dish washer, micro wave oven, water cooker, coffee machine, as well as all necessary kitchen utensils.

Laundry facilities
. washing machine, steam iron, ironing board and drying rack.
Cleaning / towels / linen / maid service:
. Bed linen and towels for indoor use only are provided. Please supply your own pool towels.
. The villa is cleaned for your arrival. Daily or mid stay cleaning service with fresh towels and bed linens is available on request and will be paid locally at a charge of 30 Euro per service.
. For a stay longer than one week: weekly cleaning service, fresh bed linens and towels is included.
. An extra payment of 40 Euro per villa will be charged for departure cleaning services.

Location & area

COAST BEACH
A long sandy beach can be found at approx 5 kilometers with local bars & restaurants. Water sports are available in the summer months. However there are many beautiful beaches all over the island catering all needs - busy, secluded, whatever you are looking for, you won't have far to go.

Distances
The vacation houses are approx at the same distance from both the airports of Heraklion & Chania - about 75 km.
The port of Rethymnon is 12 km approx where there are ferries to the mainland of Greece and in the summer to Santorini. Villas are situated at a good location to rest and to discover the island of Crete with a short drive to the north highway which is the principal get a way for your excursions.

TRAVEL
The holiday accommodations are located on the road to the village of Aghios Dimitrios in a peaceful and beautiful countryside area.
Rethymnon with it’s pretty, often vibrant Venetian port and old town is approx 12km away; offering bus services to Heraklion / Knossos, Chania, Samaria gorge, all roughly an hour away. Lake Kourna is about 20 minutes away and is well worth a visit. Arkadi monastery, well known for it's history is a short drive away.

FURTHER FACILITIES
Shopping facilities for everyday’s necessities can be found at the neighboring village of Pigi at a walking distance of 300 meter providing butcher, baker and a grocery shop, tavern and internet cafe. Larger supermarkets, including a LIDL, can be found on your way to the beach resort “Platanes” at a distance of 4, 5 km, offering an elaborated tourist infrastructure of restaurants, cafes, tourist shops, etc…
Summer night clubs and bars are concentrated along the Platanes beach road.
Taverns serving typical fresh Cretan dishes can be found on the way to Arkadi at a short distance offering good quality for price value.
