Overview

Villa Nikos is the easternmost of 3 holidays villas on a property of 8,000 sqm total size, located on a slope above the bay of Rethymnon in the western half of the island of Crete. Each of the houses has it's own private garden and it's own swimming pool.
The villa has 80 sqm of dwelling space on 2 floors and provides 5 beds in 3 bedrooms. On demand, a large convertible sofa in the living room makes the 6th accommodation.
The living room includes a satellite color TV set, DVD and CD players, and an open fireplace. Firewood is available (except during the high summer). Seawards, there is a private garden in front of the living room, which includes a sun terrace and a 23 sqm swimming pool.
Sunshades and deck chairs are available by the swimming pool, and the villa also has a barbecue. Views range far over the bay and the sea, over the town and the port of Rethymnon, and towards Cape Drapanon as well as to the White Mountains.
All bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and separate air conditioning units which can be switched to heating-mode during chilly nights or in wintertime.
The kitchen equipment is modern and very comprehensive. It includes an electric hob with 4 flames, an oven, an extractor fan, a microwave oven, an integrated refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, an electric kettle and a toaster.
The nearest sandy beach is a 900 meters footwalk away.
On the more than 15 kms long sandy beach that lines the bay of Rethymnon there are plenty of sports and watersports on offer. This includes volleyball, windsurfing, water skiing, paragliding, sailing, wetbikes, jet skiing, pedaloes and much more.
Bars, discotheques and a colourful nightlife can be found along the bay es well, and all-year in the picturesque Venetian old town of Rethymnon.The Atlantis Dive Center has it's main seat at the Rithymna Beach Hotel (6 kms) in Adelianos Campos near Rethymnon.The hippest discotheque in Rethymnon is the SkyPark at Platanias by the Old National Road, just on the junction with the road to Arkadi (7 kms). It includes a garden restaurant which is most popular for many years as well (and gave the place it's name), and latterly also an internet cafe.

Location & area

Stavromenos is one of the villages in the eastern part of the bay of Rethymnon. There are several supermarkets, a butcher's shop, a pharmacy, tavernas, kafenions and some other shops. The New National Road from Rethymnon (12 kms) to Iraklion (71 kms) runs between the village and the beach.
Iraklion airport is 79 kms away, Hania airport 82 kms.
