There are two international airports that you should try, if you visit Monemvasia, in Athens and Kalamata. Apart from the scheduled flights from UK to Athens and Kalamata Airports, between May and October there are charter flights from London to Kalamata on Sundays only by Air 2000. Alternatively the bus service (KTEL) is regular and reliable. The rail network (OSE) is limited, slow and often late, but the routes are romantic, especially in the Peloponnese.
