Overview

Meli is an ideal getaway for guests yearning for a a truly out of the ordinary retreat. Spending your vacation at a property which has officially been recognized as a preserved building and has been restored to such a high standard, you will really feel that here tradition meets modern luxury. The villa combines vacations close to nature away from noise and crowds, yet very close to the beach as it is only a short drive away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean (Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Gialos). It is suitable for families or larger parties consisting of couples or just friends as it can accommodate up to 8. All 3 bedrooms have satellite TV, a/c, hairdryers and ensuite bathrooms, one with jacuzzi bathtub. At the ground floor, there is a spacious sitting room area with an inviting fireplace. There is also a desk area, a WC, a laundry room, a dining room for 8 and a fully equipped rustic kitchen. Outdoors, there is a large courtyard and a garden with a barbeque, a traditional wood burning oven and garden seating to sit and enjoy the amazing and relaxed views of the countryside. As far as activities are concerned, there are endless choices for walking through rich vegetation. For the more adventurous guests we offer 4 mountain bikes. A range of earthy or water sports can be found within a short drive away. Several activities or services can be organized to suit your needs under prior arrangement. Location & area

The mansion is located in the village of Dragano, at the Southwest part of Lefkada Island. This is the wildest and most unspoilt part of the island, yet it is visited by almost every visitor to the island as this where some of the best beaches in the Meditteranean are located.



Gialos, only 3kms away, is the closest beach whereas Egremni, Porto Katsiki and the cosmopolitan beach of Kathisma are within 15kms range.



Athani is the closest village (1.6kms) where one can buy supplies and enjoy traditionally made meals at a selection of local tavernas.



Vasiliki, known as a windsurfer’s paradise, is only about 12 kms to the East. This is the largest town of the Southern Lefkada where one can find all kinds of amenities such as restaurants, cafes, ATM, health center, port/ferry etc.

The attention to detail is evident in all the superbly-decorated interiors which combine rustic authenticity with all-modern amenities. Exposed beams, high ceilings, wooden floors, antiques, and wrought-iron beds give the mansion the character and feel of a genuinely refined and elegant country house.

The mansion's bedrooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated with light colours and antique pieces, each with en-suite bathroom, one with a jacuzzi bathtub. All bedrooms feature satellite TV, dressing table and hairdryers. A wooden staircase leads down to the open-plan sitting room which features a fireplace, 3 sofas, satellite TV, CD/DVD player, book & CD/DVD library, board games, toys for kids. At the laundry room there is a washing machine, a clothes dryer, a vacuum cleaner, an iron and an ironing board. The rustic kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, a cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (filter & espresso), toaster, juice maker, utensils etc.

A large courtyard, an old walnut tree, a traditional wood burning oven and built-in barbeque to the side, create exquisite sitting and dining areas with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Linen and towels are provided. Four mountain bikes are provided. Several activities or services (hiking with local guide, mountain biking, local cuisine lessons, massage, boat hire, car hire etc) can be arranged upon request and at an additional cost.
