Overview

Villa Dafni was built in 2008 following the traditional style of a previously existing house. Positioned on the side of the valley of Pylaros this detached luxurious villa provides magnificent panoramic views both down to the blue Ionian waters of the Bay of Sami and around to the mountains. With a lovely 10 x 5 m pool in a pebble-paved terrace, beautifully lit at night, it is designed for outside living in the summer with a shaded pergola for alfresco eating. The property is fully air-conditioned and includes brand new stylish and upmarket furniture. A double bedroom with en-suite and a wardrobe room at the main-floor, makes the house ideal for the elderly. Villa Dafni is fantastic for large families or those travelling with friends.

Peaceful location, with privacy. Yet, in walking distance from the village of Makryotika with traditional bakery, minimarket, cafes, taverna. 10 minutes drive from the superb Beach of Myrtos. Similar distance from Agia Efimia, with yacht harbor, restaurants, cafes, pharmacy.
Local walk trails can guide you to the nearby beaches through the Valley of Pyllaros within 60-90 minutes of walk, or uphill to the Monastery of Themata. Diving is offered in Agia Efimia, while cave enthusiasts can visit the Caves of Melissani and Drogarati in Sami. 15 min. drive from the port of Sami. 45 min drive from the airport of Kefalonia. Starting from the harbor of Santa Efimia, you can take a small boat and visit the near-by Ithaka, for a one day excursion!

The two-sided fire place serves both the living-room and the bedroom. An internal staircase leads to four more bedrooms in the upper floor, all with superb views. One master bedroom with en-suite and a wardrobe room, along with one room with comfortable private balcony with shaded pergola and a breakfast table for two, and 2 more bedrooms sharing one bathroom. Two of the double bedroom in the first floor are furnished with large single beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. Basement includes guest laundry-room with washing machine/dryer, spacious room hosting home cinema with surrounding sound and PC/Mac computer with internet access, a utility room and a small bathroom. Sattelite TV in all rooms, living-room and basement. Free wireless internet access. All linen is provided, including pool towels.

The property is fully air-conditioned for comfortable staying during summer. It also has a very efficient central heating for winter time. The fire place just adds the warm touch necessary for feeling "home". Boiler provides hot water uninterruptedly throughout the year. A ramp permits easy transportation of wheeled suitcases, strollers or even wheel-chair from the parking space to the entrance of the house. Some attention is advised for children under 8. Villa has private parking space for 2-3 cars inside a gated entrance.
