Kefalonia boasts few holiday rental properties which can compare with Chez Jasmine's superb combination of tasteful luxury, privacy and tranquility and breathtaking views all within easy reach of several glorious beaches, Argostoli, and the island's other numerous attractions.Dominating the hill above Dorizata village, the Villa is faithful to traditional Ionian architecture, with the tasteful use of local stone, marble and granite both inside and out complementing the imposing venetian lines of the building.Well outside of the village of Karavados, at the very end of the road, Chez Jasmine could not be better placed. The views from the villa are truly panoramic - from the majestic mount Ainos to the east across the Ionian to Zakynthos in the south. This is no villa complex. The occasional herd of goats and their herdsmen are all that may intrude on your idyll as you relax by the pool.Designed as a home, Chez Jasmine is spacious in every respect. From the huge open-plan lounge, the large well-appointed kitchen to the huge balcony, king-sized bathroom and vast poolside space, no compromise has been made. And every comfort and convenience is provided. Air conditioning in all bedrooms and living areas... jacuzzi style bath... wifi, DVD, Sky TV... american-style fridge with ice-maker... the list goes on. Outside, the theme continues. The large covered verandah serves as the dining room in the long Greek summer, and imposing stone steps lead down to the large custom-designed pool flanked by lawn to one side and the large shaded pergola and barbecue to the other. There is even an outside shower room and fridge for those lazy days in the sun.

Location & area

Chez Jasmine is situated outside the village of Karavados, on the hill above Dorizata. The privacy, tranquility and views are incomparable. There are literally NO near neighbours.



The village has two mini-markets which also function as bars and offer simple food. Within about 3 km there are a selection of tavernas and restaurants.



The delightful Ayios Thomas beach is about 3km away, and there are 4 other superb sandy beaches only a little further away.



Also nearby are the Castle of St George which was once the island capital, and the Mycenean Tombs at Mazarakata.



For serious shopping, the two best supermarkets on the island are on the road down to Argostoli, while Argostoli itself (approx 11km away) has shops of all descriptions, a wealth of tavernas, cafes & restaurants, as well as museums, theatre, open-air cinema, and a full-service hospital.



The island's airport is also about 11km away.

Chez Jasmine sleeps 8 people in four double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a four poster super king size bed, dressing table, walk-in wardrobe area and en-suite shower room with wc and handbasin. Bedroom two also has a four poster super king size bed and dressing table and is next to the large marble tiled bathroom. This features walk-in shower, wc, corner jacuzzi-style bath and twin handbasins. Bedroom four, also upstairs, has a double bed. Downstairs, bedroom three has a double bed and is situated next to the downstairs shower room with wc and handbasin. All the bedrooms (and the bathroom!) open on to balconies enjoying the magnificent sea view.



The living spaces are genuinely spacious. The livng/dinging room is more than 40 sq metres (though the 8 seater dining table spends its summer on the 35 sq metre verandah). The lounge is flanked by handmade iroko middle-eastern style day beds seating seven, and there is a three-seater wooden settee, fireplace, and handmade rugs.



The lounge opens on to an expansive kitchen, with granite worktops and breakfast bar, american-style fridge-freezer with ice maker, eye level oven, dishwasher, hob and other appliances.



Throughout, the middle-eastern and arabic influences are emphased, Light fittings from Syria, Persia, and Morocco. Morrocan standard lamps and Morroccan fabrics and mirrors. And the handmade wardrobes echo the style.



The covered verandah has paved areas to either side and leads to the imposing stone steps to the poolside area. Custom designed, the 11m x 5m (approx) pool sits in a 300 sq metre area paved in Pilion stone. To one side is a well established lawn, and to the other the hexagonal pergola with a second 8-seater dining table, and the shaded barbecue flanked by granite worktops, sink and fridge. And through the stone archway there is a shower room with wc and hand basin.



2 Megabit wifi internet access with unlimited use is provided free of charge, as is Sky TV with ITV, Channel 4 and Five, and a DVD and sound system with the option to play music outside if required.
