Location & area

The resort of Amoudara is situated along the north coast, approximately 7 km from the Capital City of Crete Heraklion.Once you get out of the airport area, turn right into the main road and go on straight ahead 3-4 km till you see a big church. You should be standing at the traffic ligths, seeing the church straight ahead on your right and a bridge where you will turn right.At the end of the road you will see the port. You will then turn left and follow the main coastal road for about 10km until you see the Pagrition Stadium on your right hand. You will continue this road until you get to the traffic lights. You will then turn right and go straight ahead until you find Carrefour, which is at the beginning of Amoudara. Then you will pass Candia Maris,Creta Beach, Agapi Beach and Santa Marina (all big hotels on your right hand) and after the last one (Santa Marina) you will see 'Technopolis',which is a new cinema center. You will pass it and on your right hand (at the side of the beach) you will see and turn on Naxou street. After 100 meters, on your right hand you will see Yannis apartments surrounded by palm trees.
Also,the cheapest way to get here is by bus. There's a bus starting from the airport and ending at Amoudara.

The ride from the airport till Yannis apts approximately takes 20 - 25 minutes (it depends on traffic). You can ask the bus driver to show you the first bus stop after "Technopolis cinema centre" and you should get off there.

You will then turn right (to the beach) to Naxou street and after 2 minutes walk you will see "Yannis apartments" on your right hand.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
