Overview
This 200 year old rustic stone villa is positioned in 1000sqm grounds with beautiful exotic tall trees, in the tiny hamlet of Giannoudi, with approx. 20 inhabitants, 4,5km from the town of Rethymnon, (250sqm) is charmingly and artistically restored providing a good degree of modern comfort, and is suitable for up to 8 people. Air conditioning (4 units) and internetconnection is available at an extra local charge, and there is also a washing machine.
Entering the house there is a hallway and leading off this, there is a small well-equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. Leading off the other side of the hall there is a small twin bedroom with big windows facing the garden. A short steep flight of stairs leads to the master bedroom with a double bed, seating, shower/WC and a small dressing room ensuite. The attractive, well-furnished living/dining room has a large dining table,SAT TV, mini-bar, and open fireplace with comfortable seating. Off the living room stairs lead to an open plan bedroom with a double bed and seating.
The unusual and most delightful gardens have a newly built swimming pool (approx. 42sqm in size) with a childrens end, a barbecue, and along with garden furniture, benches, sun umbrellas, a fish-pond, and a roofed over area, creates the perfect private setting for relaxing and dining Al Fresco. A detached studio built in maisonette style, leads off the garden via stone steps. It comprises of a little living/dining room with double bed, kitchenette with a small fridge, and sink (no cooking facility). Further there is a shower/WC and a large veranda with pool/garden view. A wooden staircase leads to a sleeping gallery with single bed.
The nearest sandy beach is 2,5km away. The nearest taverna and supermarket can be found at a distance of 2km. PETS ARE WELCOME INTERNETCONNECTION available.
