Overview
Ideal for families sleeps 6-8 most comfortably with magnificent sea views, air conditioning and private pool. The house is set out on 3 levels with 3 twin bedrooms and 2 large double sofabeds. There are televisions and videos in every room and the living room is equipped with dvd and satellite tv plus cd player. The kitchen has everything that could possibly be required including full oven and fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, toaster and every utensil you could imagine. There are 3 furnished patio/terrace areas all with sea views including the pool area with jacuzzi jets.
It is located in the pretty village of Vlachatika overlooking Kalami Bay and is reached by a single track road off the main coast road just past Dimitris Taverna which, being only a stones throw away from the property proves very useful in the evenings should you not wish to stray too far from the house. Kalami is without doubt one of the most picturesque bays on the island of Corfu. Famous for once having been the home of the writer Lawrence Durrell who stayed at the White House on the beach front. Surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees this small coastal village offers both tranquillity and lively local entertainment in an unspoilt, typically Greek location. The resort of Kalami is only 2 minutes away and can be reached by road or on foot via several pathways off the main coast road. It has a pretty shingle beach and its waters are lovely and clear making it perfect for snorkellers and swimmers as well as those who enjoy lazing on the beach, you can also find watersports down in the bay. The resort has several waterfront taverna's where you can dine day and night serving fine Greek cuisine and fresh fish daily, one being as mentioned above the White House which still stands today. You will also find supermarkets, bars, tourist offices where you can arrange excursions, an exchange, car hire and boat hire etc.

Location & area
Dimitri's Restaurant is only 50m away on the coast road just below the house. On the open air verandah you can dine looking out over one of the best views on the island. They serve excellent Greek and European cuisine and have a substantial wine list. If you do not wish to dine out the restaurant will also prepare food from their menu to takeaway. There are also many fabulous waterside taverna's nearby in the picture postcard bays of Kalami, Agni, Koloura and San Stephanos, should you wish to venture a little further. Occasionally you may meet some of the locals as they wander back up the pathways to their houses shouting greetings to one another, a real chance to live amongst the Greek people and to experience the essence of traditional Greek village life. There are 3 tavernas in Kalami and also 2 Cocktail Bars.
