Our vacation rental is a complete package. It includes a beautiful estate home directly on the Aegean seashore with private swimming pool for your relaxation. You will not find a better bargain in Greece.

Convenient location
We are located in the Schinias Community of Themis, one of Athens most prestigious seashore neighborhoods, convenient to the airport and downtown Athens. Our home is directly on the Aegean Sea with its crystal blue waters seemingly touchable from our large balconies. There is no need to drive to a beach. The pool is in the garden and the sea is only steps away out our back gate.

General description of our vacation rental
Enjoy our neoclassical design with space, light, and privacy dominated by sea views and island vistas. Large comfortable bedrooms with sea side balconies sleep up to twelve in comfort. Fantastic Penthouse Bedroom Suite. Palatial living area. Sea views and island vistas abound. Air Conditioned through out with individual room thermostats to meet each occupants personal comfort level in the heat of the summer and central heat to ward off the winter�s chill.

Location & area

Villa Sxinias is located within the township of Marathon and is the site where the Athenians defeated the Persians in 490 BC. A Greek Warrior named Pheidippides ran from the battle to Athens to announce the victory over the Persians, This event gave birth to the modern 40 kilometer Marathon Run which, by the way, is several kilometers longer than famous run actually made by Pheidippides.

Several events were held at Schinias during the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games and we benefited immensely. Our local highway network and bus system were greatly enhanced to comply with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee for easy and rapid access between Olympic sites. Four-lane divided expressways now lead directly from Schinias to downtown Athens or to its airport.

Commute times to the airport and downtown Athens are generally about an hour during weekday traffic. Downtown Athens (the Acropolis) is approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) by road and the airport is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the house by air but 55 KM (35 miles) by highway.

A commuter bus runs from Marathon between 5 am to 10:30 pm (0500 to 2200) directly to downtown Athens without the need for transfers and connects with Athens� modern subway system. The bus runs at least hourly with more frequent runs during the morning and afternoon rush hours. The last bus leaves Athens at 10:30 PM (2230). Each bus has an attendant who sells tickets and most speak English to help tourists.

The villa rental includes access to all lawns and gardens, the swimming pool, garage roof terrace, and the swimming pool patio. The swimming pool level is located below the living level and connected by a flight of stairs leading down from the east side of the living room balcony. The pool is surrounded on two sides by a patio, lawn area, a garage roof terrace on the third side and the fourth side overlooks a garden terrace and the Aegean Sea below. A gas grill is available for outdoor cookouts.
