Overview

Olive Tree Studio, on the Greek island of Thassos, is set in the quiet, serene and idyllic grounds of the proprietors Olive Tree House gardens.It is situated on the outskirts of Agios Georgios Village and within walking distance of Rachoni Village, surrounded by a back drop of imposing mountains. The crystal clear Northern Aegean sea and fantastic local Skala Rachoni beach is a short 3.5kms away.
All of your vacation requirements are very close at hand whether you are looking for a quiet time for reading, painting or writing, etc. Take strolls to the two delightful local tavernas and the village store, or have a more active time of mountain walks, hiking, mountain biking or the splash of beach life and the exquisite beach bars and tavernas there. The local area has something for everyone.
The brand new self contained accommodation is on the ground floor which is perfect for wheel chair access. It is accessed via it's own double gated driveway with ample car parking leading to a large, but very private, patio and garden area where you are met by a 500 year old Olive Tree and tree lined back drop for complete seclusion.
The double doored apartment entrance leads you to the main living accommodation, small hall way and separate wet room. The apartment is suitable for singles or couples. A third person can be catered for, but for comfort this is aimed ideally at up to 2 persons.
Included are:shower, towels, ample parking, cd/radio player, iron,double hob rings and kitchenette, bed linen, fridge freezer, garden/patio area, garden furniture

Location & area

Olive Tree Studios nestles in the valley of the surrounding mountains. Only 3 kms away is the sandy and shallow local Skala Rachoni beach where you can relax or partake in the water sports on offer. There are many cafes and tavernas plus shops and supermarkets close by, and the capital, Thassos Town, is only a short ride away.
Olive Tree Studio is in an ideal location where you can be as far away from the hustle and bustle in the idylic and tranquil atmosphere of traditional Greek village life if that is your choice, or you can enjoy the many activities on offer close by. So, in fact you will have the best of both worlds to enjoy, which ever is your preference.
Our 3 Olive Trees are a joy to behold, especially the focal point tree which is over 500 years old. We produce our own 100% organic Olive Oil, which you can sample free of charge if you so wish, and understand why the Olives of our locality are perceived to be the best quality on the island.
Even if it is just for a short holiday, you can 'live the dream' just like we do!

Olive Tree Studios ideally caters for 2 adults, but we can accommodate a third person on a fold up bed if required.
As is normal, the studio is comprised of all one room with of course a private bathroom with shower, pedestal sink with mirrored cabinet over and a w/c.
The main room houses 2 single beds (which can be pushed together to make a double if needed), a wardrobe with hangers, dining table and chairs, fridge with small freezer compartment, double hob cooker and sink unit. A bedside cabinet offers more staorage space.
All the basic utensils for cooking are provided as is: an iron, ironing board, hair drier, small hand vacuum, Kettle, toaster, Cd/radio player, patio furniture, 2 sun beds.
For a small fee, use of a cooling fan and mountain bikes are also available.
However, with the studio being on the ground floor, it is always a very cool and comfortable temperature.
If you need to use your laptop computer while you are here, for pleasure or to keep up with your work, free security enabled wi-fi internet access is available too.
