Overview

The gite has 1 double bedroom and a lovely garden room with a double futon and an open fireplace.
The light airy bathroom has a sunken bath and shower. The well-equipped kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge freezer, micro-wave, kettle, toaster etc. Le Studio sleeps up to 4 and is ideal for 2.
There is a large sunny terrace with views of the the medieval walled City of Carcassonne and a table, chairs, chaises, parasol and a BBQ is provided.

Enjoy fabulous walks through (the sadly disappearing) vineyards to the Canal du Midi (5 min). Watch the boats go by (You've missed Rick Stein!) from the lock.
Take a short drive into the Montagne Noire with lakes for swimming. 45 min drive to the Mediterranean beaches.
Historic Cathar castles to visit (this is the heart of "Labyrinth" and "Sepulchre" country). 1hr drive to the Spanish border (3hrs to Barcelona).
We are in the centre of the Minervois/Cabardes wine regions. Excellent opportunities for wine-tasting.
