Welcome to Cruzel.Cruzel is nestled in the western foothills of the Central Massive at the village commune of Touffailles. These two, 2/6 person gites will offer self-contained tranquil holidays or if you prefer exciting leisure pursuits. A small cottage for 4 people and part of the main house for 2 are set within the 3.4 hectares of woodland and open grounds at Cruzel.Situated in the Verdant valley, walking and cycling are popular in this peaceful countryside together with golf, horse riding and canoeing.Or if you would like to relax our Sauna treatment will help you to eliminate stress, ease muscle pain, detox, lift the spirits and re-energise both body and mind.



Touffailles has a boulangerie, small grocery store, post office and village tennis courts nearby. The salt managed swimming pool is paved on three sides and has a large covered terrace with panoramic views.

There is something for everyone in this fascinating area. Amongst the many places you may like to visit are the local villages, lively markets, museums, leisure lake, parachute school, water ski-ing, fishing and wine tasting at the local vineyards.
This is an undiscovered part of France with so much to see and do. White stone traditional farmhouses, mills and chapels, green valleys and forests, splashes of red, ochre and gold in the fields of crops and orchards of fruits, the finishing touches of yellow sunflowers and amazingly blue sky. The narrow street of the local villages, old stone buildings, churches, fountains and the remains of castles, all bear witness to the history of the area.

Famous for its gourmet cuisine and breathtaking countryside, Quercy should not be missed.

Cruzel farmhouse is set on the outskirt of the tranquil and picturesque village of Touffailles overlooking beautiful valley with the splendid views over the surrounding countryside scattered between the oak woods and fields of sunflowers for which the area is renowned.

The property is just five minutes from an excellent boulangerie which will provide you with warm croissants for your relaxing breakfast on the sunny terrace.
The house is situated 10-15 minutes from the bastide town of Lauzerte listed as one of France's 100 most beautiful towns.Lauzerte, nicknamed the Toledo of quercy, offers walks along the famous routes to Compostella.
In the delightful square you can enjoy drink of your choice and splendid medieval architecture.



Principal cities are Toulouse and Bordeaux. Beetween them are major towns including:

Moissac-25 km from Cruzel, set on the bankc of the river Tarn, has lovely weekend markets in the town square and farmhouse for its Romanesque Abbey and Cloister.



Medieval Rocamadour clings to the rock, vertically overlooked by tiers of houses, churches and castle is an 1hr away.



Montcuq is our delightful medieval town only a 24km away (20min drive) has lots of ambiance at the cafes and Sunday market - visit the old part of the village with its cobbled streets and historic tower. The people here have a really unique heritage and their traditional warm welcome will add to the enjoyment of your stay with us.



The medieval city of Cahors famous for its wine was once a Roman camp and now its superb streets are lined with ornate facades. Visit the cathedral and the beautiful fortified bridge Valentre(inscribe on the UNESCO World Heritage list).
