You can find us in the village of St Germain les Belles, 4 hours south of Paris (270 miles or 425 km) and 30 minutes south of Limoges (22 miles or 35 km), the 'capital' of Limousin, in Haute-Vienne. The village is conveniently located just 10 minutes drive from the A20 motorway (junction 42), the main route from Paris to the south of France..

St Germain les Belles is a perfect example of a fine Limousin village - peaceful, attractive and just seconds away from beautiful rolling countryside. It also boasts many attractions:.

5-hectare tranquil village lake and sandy beach, with supervised swimming and pedalo hire throughout the summer. There is also an adjacent play area for the kids.
The campsite bar / restaurant is open to the public in the summer and has some fantastic music / themed nights.

Limousin has been called the 'French Lake District' and will offer you some of the most unspoilt, natural landscapes in France. You are never far from a lake or meandering country walks across rolling hills and forests come and experience a slower pace of life and true, rural French culture.

We are surrounded by swimming lakes, beaches and outdoor swimming pools. The beautiful Lake Vassiviere, Europe's largest man-made lake, is only 45 minutes away and is also the site of the national contemporary art gallery. Bird-watchers and wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed hoopoes, eagles, buzzards, wild boar, martens, red squirrels are all common here.

For the outdoor enthusiast and those of you who enjoy countryside rambling, there are numerous activities in the surrounding region. We can tell you all about our favourite walks, beauty spots and places to watch birds. If you enjoy cycling holidays, bicycle hire is available within the village and there are many local routes through quiet country villages.

We are also only 30 mins away from the attractive city of Limoges - famous for its porcelain and old quarter. Discover the abundance of interesting boutiques, medieval churches, restaurants and antique markets. The other historic towns and villages in our area are also well worth a visit, including Segur le Château, one of the most beautiful villages in France; Uzerche on the stunning Vézére River; Pompadour (La Cité du Cheval) and its frequent equestrian events and château.
