Overview
Our 300 year old house on the site of an ancient windmill is a tastefully restored 'Girondine' of great charm. Set in secluded, landscaped gardens bordered by vineyards and rolling countryside, it is the perfect place to relax. How about an aperitif on the terrace before dinner or an hour's reading in the hammock under the lime tree? Sounds good? - see what our guests say (below).
Mediaeval St Emilion (UNESCO World Site) and Sauternes, both famous for their fabulous wines, are 30 minutes' drive away. We are surrounded by dozens of wine Chateaux offering tours, tastings and direct wine sales.
There is a host of other activities available in the surrounding area, including cycling (the safe cycle path is literally one minute from our door), cultural events, medieval towns and daily markets, churches and abbeys, Chateaux, gardens and every kind of sporting activity.
Start your day with a copious continental breakfast of fresh bread and croissants, a selection of fruit juices, cereals, Greek and fruit yogurts, fresh fruit and a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
Our menu for the evening meal will be dispayed at breakfast-time so that you can decide whether to eat in or to visit one of our excellent local restaurants. Our own meal will consist of fresh, local ingredients and offers an international mix of styles. There will be three courses, with 'vin ordinaire', bread and coffee included - though you may choose to sample a bottle of local wine from our own cellar.
Steph and Suzette will offer you a warm welcome; their aim is to make you feel as comfortable as in your own home.

Location & area
One hour's drive from Bordeaux and Bergerac airports, Le Moulin is ideally situated in the famous Entre-Deux-Mers region.
We are only 30 mins drive from St-Emilion and Sauternes.
Please note that it is extremely difficult to get to our property if you do not have your own transport
From our local town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, take the D671, signed for Creon and Bordeaux. Do not turn off for Daubeze. Go right through the village of St. Brice. Count off three new houses on your right, and turn right at the next bend onto a small road leading up through vineyards and fields. Le Moulin is the only house at the top.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
