Overview

Brimming with charm and character. Our home is a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre,(principal house)Built in 1763. Comfortably furnished with a wealth of antiques. Light airy bedrooms with new ensuite shower rooms wc and wash basin. All have tea and coffee facilities. 3 of the bedrooms have double beds 1 bedroom has twin beds.The dining room has original oak beams and a beanaise staircase. Breakfast at the lovely large oak table. An inglnook fire place houses the log burner for chilly winter evenings. At the rear of the house is a large south facing sun soaked terrace with sun loungers. Great for alfresco dinning. Cool off in the 4.8 meter overground plunge pool, or lounge on the lawn. There is ample carparking. The Front courtyard is a great breakfast garden as it gets full sun in the morning but offers a cool shady retreat in the afternoon.

Location & area

We are situated in between The beautiful seaside city of Biaritz and the lovely historic city of Pau. Just a 40 minute drive from both. You can fly to either with Ryanair from many cities in the UK. We have 2 bars a restaurant, boulangerie and chemist in the village. There is also childrens play area with swings and roundabouts. We are a short 5 minute drive to the pretty historical town of Salies, with its many bars restaurants and shops. Famouse for its thermal salt spa and beauty treatments. There is also a very scenic golf course. We are a 15 minute drive to the lake and beach at Ortez. A great place to swim or boat. Life guards on duty. A short walk to the local River. A short drive to Sauvetere. An ancient walled town with fantastic views of the pyrenees. You can do white water rafting here. Take afternoon tea by the river or go for a swim.
