Overview

"L'Orangerie" is a small, stone cottage, probably best suited for a couple or a small family. This house is part of a cluster of old, provencal farm houses, which we have recently completely restored and which are perched on a hill just over St. Remy de Provence.
Restoration involved creation of a huge, glass-paneled facade, behind which we have built a cosy, full comfort living area. All of the modern conveniences our guests would expect from a four-star property are brought together under one tile roof, including summertime air conditioning!
We offer one double bedroom and toilette and shower, with convenient ground-floor access. The second, twin-bed sleeping area is on the mezzanine level. A big fireplace is a central point in the social area, with its adjacent, modern kitchen.

Location & area

The easiest access to St. Remy and to our property is by TGV, directly from London, Brussels, etc. and ALSO directly from Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris. There are TGV fast trains from early morning through late evening. Car rental offices right at the Avignon TGV station. Otherwise, we are only a short distance from the A7 motorway. Marseille and Nimes/Arles International Airports are less than 1 hour away.

A large, 7x10 metre pool, family jacuzzi (heated year-round) and summer kitchen are just down an old stone starway from "L'Orangerie" patio, as are family game areas and sun/shade furniture for guests. Huge, thatch-covered cover pool terrace with BBQ (in old brick oven) and cool fountain (in remains of Roman aquaduct). Colorful oleander and shrubs and trees, to assure privacy on the small patio of "L'Orangerie." All in all, a very private, almost intimate living area. Gated and protected car park.
