Overview
The gites are situated in the beautiful Breton countryside. We have 2 available for rent on a weekly, daily, or long term basis.
They both sleep 4/6 having 2 bedrooms and a bed settee in the lounge if needed. They are fully equipped, including gas cooker, microwave, and fridge. Bedding is provided, but not towels or tea towels.
They are situated close to the ancient market town of Rostrenen, market day is Tuesday, it also has 3 excellent supermarkets, bank, laundrette, post office, tourist information office. It also has many good restaurants in which to sample the local food. Lunch time being the cheapest time to eat, you can get a 4 or 5 course meal for about 10.
We are very close to the Nantes Brest canal, for walking, cycling and fishing for which you can buy a daily/ weekly licence. The coast is only about 1 ¼ hrs drive away, along the very quiet Brittany roads. There are sandy beaches including the ones at L'Orient, and Benodet, but if you prefer there are rocky stretches as well. Along the west coastline you will find the ancient walled town of Quimper, along the south, there is Carnac, with it's standing stones, France's answer to Stonehenge. There is Huelgoat with its ?ice age valley and many more beautiful places to see. Around the area there are lots of picturesque villages to explore, with many events going on during the summer months. Fete days, fayres, carnivals etc. If you prefer a day at home' there is a large orchard for the children to play in and for you to sit. There are patios and a large shared BBQ behind both houses, with outdoor furniture for meals in the sun.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
