Overview

Set in its own large grounds, deep in the French countryside, with spectacular views to Les Montanges Noire (10km), this 18th century maison de maitre is tastefully finished with both modern and antique furniture. Ground floor accommodation comprises a lounge, Chinese sitting room, chandeliered dining room, study, games room (with snooker table, table football, darts and TV), kitchen and utility. The first floor has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The remaining 2 bedroom and bathroom are part of an adjoining 'caretaker's apartment which is rented free with the Chateau. We've spent many happy holidays with our 4 children and their many friends at our Chateau and so can testify that it's both ideal for a relaxing break and that there is lots to do. Outdoors, we have a heated 20m pool, ping-pong table, badminton, boules and bicycles: woodland walks, canoeing, windsurfing, horse-riding, mountain biking and go-karts are all within 30 minutes drive.The medieval cities of Albi (cathdedral, Toulouse Lautrec museum), Carcassonne (walled city is a World Heritage Site) and the modern city of Toulouse (extensive shopping) are all an hours drive away. The nearest supermarkets are just 10 minutes drive as is the celebrated, weekly open-air fresh food market at Revel. Please note that our Chateau shares its location and selected facilities with our nearby, but separate, rented Farmhouse. However, to ensure maximum privacy and exclusivity, we offer those renting the Chateau the option of renting the Farmhouse 'unoccupied' at half the going rate.

Amenities & services

In the main house, the master bedroom has a separate dressing room and bathroom (bath, shower, WC). Our second bedroom is en-suite (bath with shower, WC). There is then a twin bedroom and two singles (all sharing a bathroom and 2 WCs). The separate caretaker's apartment has its own entrance/lounge/kitchen/bathroom (bath with shower, WC) and sleeps 3 in a twin and a single room. All linen and towels are provided and our French housekeeper cleans once a week.



BBQ and all garden (20+ chairs) and pool furniture (8 sun loungers) are provided and there is even a hammock!
