Overview
La Maison Bleu can be found in Quillan nestled in the beautiful Aude valley steeped in cathare history.Renne le chateau is only 7 km down the road for you Dan Brown readers.Carcassonne is only 50 min away for you kate moss readers.The house has a "chefs" kitchen with all the mod cons,a laundry room ,sat english tv,beautiful italian sofas,a library on the landing area with a chaise to relax and read.There are 5 large bedrooms with beautiful french furniture and 4 en-suite shower rooms.The master suite has a 100 year old bath in the bedroom with a dressing room and shower room.All rooms have dvd in them and 3 metre high ceilings,as does the whole house.There is a balcony over looking the very private ,not overlooked, 3 terraced garden,As you walk out in to the garden there is a lovely patio,a grand staircase to take you to the uva treated pool (which means no salt or chlorine great for the skin) area with 10 sun loungers,then up to the barn where you will find a summer kitchen ,another bathroom,and games room.All enclosed by a 10 metre high wall,which holds the sun all day ,you can find refuge in the huge open barn,lovely and cool.If you fancy the beach puivert is only 15 min in the car where there is a restaurant and a man made beach and lake,another 15 min you will find another huge lake,lake montbel,or the med is only 60 min drive ,Barcelona 3 hours,spain 70 min ,andorra 90 min,toulouse 90 min.there is a train station in quillan a 2 min walk,if you don't want to drive.all linen included,towels for bathroom and pool,midweek maid service if required,can arrange on arrival.

Quillan is nestled in the aude valley surrounded by cathare castles,as you walk out of the house turn left after 1 min you will find a lovely old stone bridge by the aude river ,as you go over the bridge you can have lunch by it, at the palace resaurant,while looking at the ancient chateau,straight ahead there is titou and bibi sport bar ,turn left go down the grand rue you will find the plantanes restaurant run by olivier and mijou,you can walk round a little further to the pmu bar run by patrice and jacque,just to mention a few as ther are many more ,the capio,the terminus,the brennus.
I could go on,you will have yo come and find out for your self,.There are newsagents,supermarkets,butchers,bakers,tourist information centre,train station.
there are that many things to do in quillan you will have to come back ,to explore the rest of the aude,for instance the dinosaur museum only 7 km away.Quillan evan has its own small brewery.If you like sports there are, kyaking,gliding,mountaineering,mountain biking,rugby,walking,horse riding,swimming,and the best sport of all shopping!!
