Overview

You will love this little apartment, quiet and luminous, located just under the roof of a typical 1900's building, and fully renovated by an architect in 2004 (see the floor plan in the pictures section). You will climb six flights of stairs to reach it (as there is no elevator!), but your effort will be rewarded by unobstructed East, North and West views over old roofs and the Montparnasse tower. The place is strictly non smoking, and well connected with WiFi broadband Internet for your laptop and a private phone line with free calls to most destinations (including North America and Australia) . The bedroom, illuminated by the morning sun, contains a convertible sofa-double bed, a dressing and a working area. The kitchen is independent, with an eating table for three people, two plates, a microwave-grill and a toaster. The bathroom is not only the place for a good shower, but also the vantage point from where to enjoy Parisian sunsets!


Altogether, an address for those who want charm and cozyness.



Location

The appartment is located in the heart of the 14th district, between Montparnasse and Denfert Rochereau. The nearest subway station is Pernety. This is the authentic Paris! You will find few tourists in the neighborhood, and the immediate surroundings abound with quaint streets, artist workshops, small restaurants, cafés etc. . . There are several open-air markets (including organic) nearby -- and trendy rue Daguerre is within steps. Going north, the lively Montparnasse boulevards with their theaters and large terrasses are 10mn away by foot. Walk ten more minutes and you are within the Luxembourg garden. Should you prefer to take the metro, the following lines have a station nearby (within 10mn) : 4, 6, 12, 13, RER B. The appartment is also conveniently connected to both Paris airports and to the Gare du Nord (Eurostar) train station, and it is at the immediate proximity of Gare Montparnasse (15mn to Versailles) with TGVs to Brittany, southwestern France and the Loire valley castles (1 hour) .



If we are here during your stay, we will live next door on the same floor and will be more than happy to provide you with hints and advice on local life, good or "hidden" addresses etc. . . We are fluent in English, French, German and Tuareg.



Rates

There is no minimum length of stay and short notice bookings are OK .



For short stays, the rental is 120EUR for the first day, and 60EUR for each additional day, with one free day per full week of rental. This means that the first week is at 420EUR and each consecutive week is at 360EUR.



For longer terms (18 days or more), the rental is 990EUR/month for the first month and each subsequent full month, and 33EUR/day for the last fraction of month.



These rates include the loan of linen and ustensils (nominally for two persons), all utilities (water, electricity, heating etc.), Internet and worldwide telephone use, so there are no extras for your housing and telecom expenses in Paris.



Check in time is 2PM, check out time is 10AM, but if we do not have someone arriving or departing the same day as you, we are very flexible with the times.
