Overview

Beacuse of its ideal location, in the Nice area known as the "Carre D'Orr" a car is not required for your stay in our holiday rental apartment in Nice France. Our apartment for holiday rent has the perfect location in the Nice area known as "the Golden Square", the centre of which is Place Massena.
The apartment is 45 yards from the Promenade des Anglais along which travels the Airport Bus. The silent tram system passes through Place Massena square in which there are shops, cafes, and restaurants.
This stylish luxury holiday apartment is located within a listed building in the centre of Nice's beautiful pedestrian square of Place Massena. It is therefore perfectly placed for your immediate entertainment and to travel to any other part of the Cote d'Azure by train, bus or hire car. A car is not necessary at all. The Airport bus runs just 50 yards from the front door; the new silent tram system runs through this square which is decorated with modern art and a magnificent fountain.
The apartments very sunny and faces South towards the Mediteranian Sea which is only 150 yards from your door.
The interior comprises a fully equipped American kitchen, large sitting/dining room with stairs up to a good size bedroom and shower room/toilet.
The furnishings are elegant and suited to romantic breaks or for business people wishing to entertain clients following a busy schedule at one of the many exhibition/conference halls in Cannes, Nice and Monaco.
There is an internet facility, and the apartment is quiet and the area is pedestrianised to give the Centre a special atmosphere of the hum of people in conversation.
Nice is for all ages and all ages mix together at night, on the beach or sitting in one of the many parks. If you do visit Nice at least once in your life, there is nowhere quite like the blue sea, blue sky and culture of Nice. This Holiday apartment is a perfect blend of old and new.

Location & area

Nice is second only to Paris in the whole of France for the number and variety of its museums, galleries and exhibitions; it has a wonderful Opera House, similar to La Scala, several concert halls and countless attractions to suit every possible taste and interest that would take you months to fully explore.

Two miles in the other direction, couple this with the old town and beautiful bay of Villefranche sur Mer and the spectacular peninsular of Cap Ferrat, and you have everything your heart could desire. These are without doubt our three favourite places on the whole of the French Riviera (and in the world) and they are all next to each other! I am sure that you will agree that the views in all directions from the ancient forts at Mont Boron and Mont Alban of Nice, Villefranche , Cap Ferrat and the Mediterranean are absolutely unforgettable. They must be seen at least once in everyone`s lifetime.

Nice is the perfect central location from which to visit (by car, bus or train) Monaco, Monte Carlo and Menton, a few miles east along the seashore. And to the west, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and St. Tropez. Inland is Grasse, the famous perfume capital of the world, and countless enchanting hill-top villages.

There are many ski resorts within an hour's drive.

Every day of the year there are flights from all over the UK, and other parts of the world, direct to Nice. By taxi, hire car or private car, all of self catering apartments are conveniently within ten minutes of Nice Airport.

You will find that the weather throughout the year is exactly as you would expect on the beautifully warm and sunny Cote d'Azur. Testament to this is the fact that Nice holds its exuberant Carnival of Flowers and dazzling Mardi Gras processions every year in February! -and sun bathing at Christmas is quite normal.

With large comfortable living room/kitchen and wer room it offers an ideal getaway with immediate access to all Nice has to offer - the old town, the central shopping area, bars, restaurants, cafes, museums and of course the beach itself. Nice is also a wonderful location for exploring the rest of the Cote D'Azur, being centrally situated for visiting Monaco, Cannes, St Tropez alongside all the fantastic rural French villages. The apartment is also less than 45min drive from skiing and snow boarding at Camp Argent and an hour from the Alps for those who enjoy mountain walks in the summer or skiing in the winter.

Our holiday rental apartment in Nice is a 10 minute drive from NICE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ARRIVALS. Nice Airport is the main arrival point for most visitors to the Nice area. Nice International has two terminals. The airport is 4 km from the centre and out Place Massena rental apartment in Nice.
Nice airport is built out into the sea to eliminate noise pollution. The airport bus brings you into Nice centre along the beautiful coast line. Nice Airport is the 2nd busiest in France after Paris. Nice Airport has a comprehensive range of flights from all over Europe as well as direct flights from USA, Russia and other long haul destinations.
BUS TRAVEL: Bus travel in Nice takes you all over the Cote d'Azure, and beyond. Transport is clean, comfortable and inexpensive general bus trips cost €1 per trip, whilst the Airport bus costs 4 euros and the ticket can be used for the rest of the day to travel on the buses and tram.

TRAVEL BY TRAIN: The TGV high speed train service to Nice comes into Nice from Paris, via Marseilles and has links into much of the rest of the Cote D'Azure, and Europe including Spain and Italy. Our holiday rental apartment is a 7 minute walk from our holiday rental apartment in Nice.
NICE TRAM TRAVEL: The Nice tram services traverses the North to South/West of Nice. The silent tram system is a 5 minute walk from our Holiday Rental home. The Nice tram services traverses the North and South West of Nice. The tram is silent and may be picked up yards from our Holiday Rental Home and runs every 7 minutes at a cost of €1.
ARRIVAL BY ROAD: If you travel by car, you can reach our Nice Vacation Home via the A8 motorway. You exit at No.50 "Promenade des Anglais". Follow this straight run along our beautiful beach front towards central Nice, then turn off to Place Massena.
Car Parking exists throughout Nice as well as on the same road as our rental apartment in Nice.
CAR PARKING & CAR HIRE: We provide parking information to all of those arriving by car. Public parking costs around €90/week. However, some Nice car hire companies that allow free parking on their premises.
NICE PORT: .Numerous ferries leave Nice port for daily trips to St.Tropez, Italy, Corsica and beyond. Our holiday rental apartment is a few minutes walk along the sea front to the Nice Port.

The Promenade des Anglais gives spectacular views out to the Mediterranean all along the "Bay of Angels". This 3 mile long pebble beach ic the focal point in Nice, with Place Massena being a close candidate.
There is much to do and see in the narrow streets of Old Nice which is like walking through a classical old Italian town. There are a great number of bars and restaurants in this area.
ICE CREAM is in plentiful supply in Old Nice especially in the ancient square of Place Rossetti which is noisy and packed with tourists in the Summer sampling some of the 90 different flavours.
THE FLOWER MARKET in Old Nice offers fresh fruits, vegetables, preserves and flowers of the Provence and Nice. Operating on a daily basis, just adjacent to the Promenade des Anglais and Opera House. In the late afternoon it transforms into open air fish and Nicois restaurants.
Adjacent to the Nice Flower Market is the Old Chateau. The remains of an Old Chateau and Monestry rest at the top of a high rock out-crop which gives panoramic views of Nice and the Riviera coast.
Many visitors take the opportunity to visit the French Alps to walk or hike through their majextic peaks and scenery or spend time skiing in Winter.
