Overview

Nestling at the base of the famous Lascaux hillside and converted in 2006 the cottage has a spacious lounge/dining area with wood burning stove in lounge for low season bookings, modern well equipped kitchen,seating up to 6 people, highchair & playpen available. French doors lead onto south west facing garden with shared alarmed pool,gazebo,outdoor dining facilities and loungers [small table/chair, paddling pool & sandpit available for toddlers], you are surrounded by beautiful country views and may even see an occasional deer venture out of the woods, one of our Australian visitors likened it to waking every day in paradise.

Two double bedrooms, one with double bed, one with two singles, showeroom/wc, travel cot and baby bath available. Both bedrooms have air cooling fans and there is an hairdryer provided.

Location & area

The property is 15 minutes walk to Montignac one of the prettiest little towns in the Perigord Noir with restaurants & bars to suit all tastes plus the usual boulangeries, banks, poste, pharmacies etc.



Theres canoe/kayak, quad & cycle hire available in town, a great crazy golf course that all the family can enjoy, a small cinema, lots of rambling routes, a weekly market that sells everthing you could possibly want, lots of delicious local fare and wine plus unusual gifts and crafts.



The whole region is seeped in historic and cultural heritage, many designed to keep younger family members interested,there are plenty of activity parks, horse riding and animal parks within the area. Gourmet food, wonderful wines and michelin star restaurants are readily available for the connoisseur.
