Overview

The property is situated on the edge of a small village, 300m from the village square, in the beautiful Haut Languedoc region, overlooked by the Montagne Noir, surrounded by lakes and close to the Sidobre. Castres and Mazamet 23Km, Brassac 10Km, Angles 6Km. Toulouse airport 90mins and Carcassonne 65mins. Ideal area for all outdoor activities and with 4 local lakes all on the doorstep this is a beautiful, yet unspoilt area of France.

The gite is an old stone built farmhouse offering a mixture of traditional and modern styling to provide a comfortable centrally heated holiday home.

Entrance to the house is on the ground floor through double doors. The newly renovated large kitchen/diner is very well equipped including microwave, double oven/cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dish washer. Local markets will encourage you to try out new recipes - and then there is the wine
The kitchen also benefits from a log fire to enjoy a cosy evening after a long day hiking or cycling in the nearby forests of the Haut Languedoc National Park

The large lounge complete with traditional beams and large log fire place is the perfect place to relax or escape the heat of the sun. There is also a TV with satellite reception so that you can keep up to date with UK events. There is a Hi-fi and DVD player. A games console will amuse the children and there is also a range of traditional family games too.

Upstairs on the first floor, there are two good sized double rooms both with fitted wardrobes and a sink and vanity unit. One room has a double bed and one room has twin beds (another double bed is available if preferred). A cot is available if required.
There is a newly built shower room and WC along the corridor.

For an extra supplement of £125 per week further along the corridor there is another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Outside there are private mature gardens with a fully alarmed 11m x 7m swimming pool. The house has sole use of part of the garden complete with BBQ Gazebo and garden furniture.

With a choice of 4 local freshwater lakes offering a wide range of supervised nautical sports there is something for everyone. Other locally available sports include golf, fishing, hiking, horse riding, down-hill cycling, skiing (in season), ten pin bowling or ice skating.
Art lovers can visit nearby Albi and trace the life of Toulouse-Lautrec. Wine tours and cheese tasting are available locally. Sample the delights of the Roquefort caves or the grapes of the Minervois, St Chinian or Minervre vineyards.
Local markets offer the chance to explore the home produce whilst the towns of Mazamet, Castres and the city of Toulouse give a wider choice to the discerning shopper.
Throughout the year there are many local events including summer dances, motor rallies and village festivals and firework displays.

Charges are for the hire of the gite for up to 4 people and 1 baby. The charge includes AVERAGE use of gas, electricity and water. Central heating is included in a low season letting. If your party has 6 people you will need to hire the third bedroom so add £125 per week to prices below.

All our clients receive a welcome gift. The gite has a substantial information pack to help you to get the most from your stay with us.
We also provide a first night shopping service - you provide a list and we will do the shop on your behalf.
