Overview

Looking out across the treetops of the old Robinson land to the port and the masts of boats bobbing by the stone breakwaters.

For families or friends this smart little apartment is just the place to base yourself for a week or two on the beach.

The duplex apartment has an airy living room with its kitchenette corner, twin hob, fridge, microwave and that breakfast essential, the coffee machine.

A comfy sofa doubles as a sofa bed - the main bedroom is upstairs, with a proper bed for two.

On the main level is a shower room/wc. From the living room look out across to the port.

Lots of cupboard space on both levels for all you beach things, the shopping and those essentials that you simply cannot travel without! The apartment also has private parking for our guests.
The first truly popular holiday resort on the Languedoc coast grew from the remains of the Domaine Robinson wine estate on the Mediterranean beach across the etang from Marseillan Ville.

A true bucket-and-spade holiday, with the added lures of world famous seafood and the best fleamarket for miles around, Marseillan Plage has everything to keep a family entertained, from the summer funfair to the discos, ice-cream parlours to rotisserie chickens turning on street corners for a family meal at home with the minimum of effort.

Best of all are the beaches, endless vistas of fine sand and grassy dunes. The long Lido stretch that runs from Marseillan to Sete is a Languedoc legend in its own right.

This year the road that runs between the two towns has been moved away from the beach in a project to protect the golden sands that the French press have compared to the works of the great Pharoahs! And the best of the beaches at the Marseillan end of the plage is unquestionably La Plage Robinson itself.

Location & area

Nestling close to the marina and harbour at the Grau of Marseillan Plage, where the canal links the Etang de Thau lagoon to the Med, is where you'll find our Robinson apartment.



There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, from traditional dining at Les Chaluts to the cheerful welcome of the Pizetta for pastas and pizzas for all the family.



Live music most evenings in summer at the bars on the avenue de la Mediterranee, and plenty of fun bars and clubs for younger crowd. Music festivals during the summer bring bands close to the beaches.



The famous weekend brocante is a bargain hunter's delight and a food market is held here during the holiday season.



The UNESCO listed Canal de Midi is a walk away, the Bagnas nature reserve practically on your doorstep - wild flamingos soar above the lagoon just 3 minutes drive away and the glorious Med spreads out at your feet.



Loads of great water sports from sailing to jet-skis, and the buses run along the plage linking the gorgeous village port of Marseillan Ville and the hilltop city port of Sete along the bay.
