Overview
Despite having more than a dozen restaurants a whistle from the front door, you may not want to leave the house. In the fabulous modern kitchen, you can prepare memorable meals each evening. Monsieur Ricard sells fine oysters from his counter around the corner and the market and bakeries are yards away.
You don't even have to wash up - the dishwasher takes care of the plates.
Dine indoors by a real log fire in winter, dine outside on one of the house's terraces and balconies on a sultry summer night.
Cosy up with a good book and glass of Picpoul de Pinet, shutters closed against the outside world, or lean out on the wrought iron railings to hear the sounds of a pea band wafted on a resfreshing evening breeze from the banks of the lagoon.
Inside, the house has every comfort. On the first floor: Two spacious double bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms, whilst a third twin bedroom has access to yet another bathroom - this a magnificent state of the art modern wetroom for showers deux! The master bedroom suite has the ultimate in pampering: not just the spacious bathroom, nor the walk in wardrobe/dressing area, but its own private terrace for breakfast al fresco, or sipping a glass of Herault's finest against the ivy-covered terracotta bullestrade as a special night cap.
Upstairs to the spacious top floor: Here the open-plan living room, kitchen and dining areas are spread across the whole house Just a few steps from the dining table, up on the roof, discover an extra luxury, a sun terrace for private sunbathing or special dinners under the stars. The living room with its double height ceiling open up to age old beams, well lit by contemporary spotlighting has soft furniture for flopping, that fully fitted kitchen, wide windows leading out to the terrace and soaking up the very last rays of a summer sunset. There is even a mezzanine for puting up extra overnight guests. All centred around the splendid fireplace and hearth. If you can tear yourself away from the fireside, step outside and look over the rooftops of Marseillan, or go downstairs to the iron balcomies to chat to passers by and neighbours on their way to the midnight craft market in summer.
Downstairs, a good-sized garage means you can park your car safely and securely. And there is a washing machine for all your laundry needs.

Location & area
Marseillan is a little gem - an historic Mediterranean harbour, tucked away from the brash resorts of the Med. Timeless and charming, the vieux village, with its centuries-old houses, its cobbled squares and its distinctive church tower, is just a blink away from the quayside cafes and restaurant tables of the port - but all is settled on the banks of an oyster rich lagoon a five minute drive from the beaches of the seaside resorts, safely tucked away on the other side of the lake. Of course - one could do more than merely laze away the days over fine food and wine: Nearby one could try Canoeing, Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Horse riding, Sailing, Swimming, Tennis... perhaps next time?

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
