Overview
The small hamlet in which The Cottage is situated is very close to The Forest of Duault, Gorges du Corong and Landes de Locarn, all local beauty spots and places of interest for birdwatchers and lovers of nature. The Cottage contains two bedrooms with twin beds on the first floor together with a bathroom containing bath, shower and washbasin and a separate toilet. The ground floor has a sitting room and fully equipped and fitted kitchen/dining room. To the rear there is a small enclosed garden and a tarmac courtyard to the front affords ample parking. The inhabitants of the little hamlet take great pride in tending their gardens which in spring and summer have a profusion of flowering plants and shrubs to delight the eye.

The nearest shop and bar/restaurant is a mere 2 km and there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants, cinema and all amenities in the market town of Callac some 11 km distant. The town of Mael Carhaix with its water gardens is just 7 km away.
It is an ideal base for fishermen with a number of lakes and rivers close by. The Nantes-Brest Canal is a 15 minute drive and this affords pleasure to anglers, birdwatchers, ramblers, dog owners, cyclists as well as those who just enjoy a pleasant stroll.
Close to the centre of Brittany, it affords easy access through pleasant countryside to the family friendly beaches of both coasts. It is ideally situated for touring and exploring. For those interested in Breton and celtic history and culture there is a museum close by which has sufficient of interest for many, but sets others off on a treasure trail of discovery.
There are also many beautiful chapels and churches within easy reach, The Cottage being close to the tourist circuit for these.
The ferry ports of St Malo and Roscoff are just 1.5 hours drive.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
