Things to Do and See
Fishing.
If you are into Fishing then we have many excellent venues on our doorstep. Lakes at Bourdon and Moutier are renowned for Carp, Pike and Catfish, whilst the rivers Loire and Yonne offer excellent opportunities for Roach, Chubb, Pike and the giant catfish the Silure.
Wines and Champagnes.
Situated in the centre of some of the most famous wine districts of France, visitors to this region can be certain of finding many hidden gems and hamlets, where the lesser known wine-makers offer their most excellent wares. This, together with the well established names, such as Chablis, Sancerre, Pouilly, Irancy, Champagne, Montrachet and many others, will delight those who are wanting a truly memorable wine-seeking holiday.
Brocantes and Antiques-Hunting.
Many local towns and villages set aside whole days where the town is 'closed off' , and the streets are turned over to anyone who wants to set up a stall and sell their own things.
Particularly famous of recent years is the town of Mezeilles, where in August, and from Friday to Sunday night, the whole town is turned into one giant bazaar. Vendors from throughout France descend on Mezilles, to set up shop and many a great bargain is to be had here. Visitors wanting the exact dates can search the web under Mezilles.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
