Overview

This vacation home, set in the heart of the Perigord Noir, the choicest part of the beautiful Dordogne area of France, is a 16th century farmhouse which has been restored to a high standard and is fully equipped including internet broadband/wifi, satellite TV/radio, dvd player/recorder. The kitchen has all modern appliances. Furniture is both French country antiques and modern.

The house is set high up surrounded by woodland and meadows. There are lawned areas around the house suitable for children and for resting. The area is particularly calm, with no very close neighbours, but house is not isolated.

The private pool which is open from April to October is heated using a heat pump. It is well exposed to the sun and in a leafy setting. It is equippped with teak sun loungers and parasols.

We are just a 45 min drive from Bergerac airport and 2 hours from Bordeaux airport.
The nearest town, Le Bugue, famous for its 800 yr old market, has a good range of supermarkets, banks, chemists, and a very good medical centre.

Tourist attractions include prehistoric caves, chateaux, gardens, water sports, canoeing, swimming, hiking, horse-riding, golf, tennis. There are various theme parks for children, an aquarium, and activity lakes. Lettings Saturday to Saturday. Dates can be more flexible in the low & mid season.

The house is 7 km from Le Bugue, 4 km from the small village of St Chamassy and 4 km from Audrix. It is set back from the main road and reached by a small track which also serves two other houses.
