Cap Coudalere - Overlooking a waterway, the apartment is quietly situated yet within only a few minutes walk of everything on offer in this superb 'Maeva' resort. Resembling a traditional Catalan fishing village the resort has traffic free streets, squares and landscaped gardens. A small harbour with cafes, restaurants, bars, mini market etc provide everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Situated on a peninsular on the Salses lagoon, the Mediterranean is 1 km away with miles of sandy beaches and excellent water quality to enjoy, Coudalere is superb for both land and water based leisure activities and for touring this beautiful area. Our letting agent is based in resort and speaks English, French, German and Dutch!

Lanquedoc is a beautiful and sunny holiday destination and the Barcares area is a watersports paradise. Boat hire available locally both on the lagoon and the Mediterranean. Le Barcares boasts over 15 kilometres of golden sand Blue Flag beaches with plenty of facilities available including sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, the annual Carnival and a festival dedicated to the delights of oysters!

The apartment consists of a living/dining room with a double 'clic-clac' sofa bed, fridge/freezer, oven/grill, hob and microwave. A separate small 'cabine' bedroom with bunk beds. Shower room with toilet and washbasin. Balcony equipped with table and chairs overlooking the waterway, no traffic here just the occasional boat! Although the apartment is equipped for 4 persons it is better suited to 2 adults and perhaps 2 children. Situated on the first floor access is by stairs only, there are no lifts.
THE RESORT offers a beautiful location on the Salses lagoon facing the 2900 metre high Mount Canigou. Here you can be as busy or as quiet as you like! Some of the onsite activities include 2 swimming pools (heated as required), a childrens' pool, poolside snack bar, restaurants, take-aways, occasional evening entertainment, mini market, deli, bakery, local wines to taste, bars, basketball, windsurfing, sailing, cycle hire, table tennis, tennis, sea fishing, quiet relaxing grass areas, high season road train to Le Barcares and beaches. Facilities include a launderette. A 2-3 minute walk from the apartment will take you to the lake beach where UCPA offer both windsurfing and sailing instruction. The 'Buena Vista' restaurant situated here on the edge of the lagoon offers occasional evening musical entertainment from local musicians combined with excellent food and a lovely view. The resort is a wonderful area and offers a huge choice of activities.

IN THE AREA are miles of beautiful sun drenched beaches, the nearest about 1 km away, all with free parking, in this the sunniest region of France, mountain bike trips, boat/jetski hire on the lagoon or Mediterranean, watersports, horse riding (3km), boat trips, summer festivals, golfers will enjoy the 27 hole course at St Cyprien, wine tasting including the superb local wines of Fitou and Rivesaltes, a particularly sweet dessert wine. For nightlife try the 'Lydia' in Barcares, a coaster ship that's been converted to nightclub, restaurant and casino. Barcares also boasts the outdoor Marina Atlantide water leisure centre with numerous slides and nearby the sea water treatment centre of Institute Thalassol.
