Overview

We would love to welcome you to our home in France. To experience a taste of French country life. Our beautiful tranquil French farm house is situated in a hamlet not far from the village of La Calliere which boasts facilities such as a bank, bakery, butcher, restaurant, post office, pharmacy, hairdresser,small grocery shop. The nearest town is La Chataigneraie. The towns of Chantonnay and Fontenay are 15 kilometres away. Our B&B includes 2 double bedrooms with ensuites. A folding bed could be added to a double room for a child at a cost of 15 extra euros. There is also a family unit of one double room, and one single room with a bathroom. Continental breakfast (local breads and pasteries, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, homemade preserves, fruit)is included in the room price. A kitchen is provided for guests use to prepare light meals or pack ups for taking out for the day. Guests also have use of the garden to relax in or even do your own BBQ. Many attractions are within easy driving distance the Puy Du Fouis famous in France little known in the UK but a brilliant day out for all the family. Check it out on its web site. Venise Vert and its boat rides on the beautiful canals should not be missed. Chateau visits, wine tasting, picturesque villages like Vouvant, and long walks in the Mervent Forest are just a few ways of getting your taste of France. Not forgetting the beautiful beaches on the coast and the quaint port of La Rochelle all accessible. We have all information and can advise you on how to get to any of these places.
