Overview

Our chalet is part of Les Maisons du Lac, an imaginative development set around their own private stretch of water and facing Lake Hourtin.
Close to Hourtin Port with plenty to occupy all ages - watersports, a whole island for childrens'play, restaurants and weekly summer market.
Paths for cycling or walking abound into the forests or along the lake shore.
Short drives take you to magnificent Atlantic Silver Coast beaches- huge expanses of sand and good surfing.
Wine or history lovers will enjoy visiting the magnificent Chateaux producing the most famous wines in the world.
Furnished to a high standard and comfortably sleeping 6, the chalet has an open- plan living room with English TV/DVD ;dining area - both sitting 6 - and fitted kitchen- oven, hob,microwave,fridge-freezer,washing machine and dishwasher.
The ground floor also has a double bedroom with en-suite shower and separate W.C.
Upstairs are a large twin bedroom, a double sofabed on the mezzanine which has a balcony overlooking the lake and a 2nd shower/WC.
Outside is a large terrace facing the lake with garden furniture and barbeque.
Only one hour from the historic city of Bordeaux, its airport, TGV station and motorway links to Paris or the Channel ports our house is easily accessible but in a very tranquil location.

Available for weekly rental,normal changeover day Saturday.Payment may be accepted in euros by prior agreement.

Location & area

Located between the largest freshwater lake in France and forests but an easy walk to restaurants and bars and 2 kms drive to the village of Hourtin which is built around a recently landscaped square and has a range of shops, restaurants and services and a delightful weekly ( twice weekly in summer) market. Short drives to Atlantic beaches, the larger town of Lesparre or to historic chateaux.
