Overview

In the heart of the 7 valley's our property a local landmark used to be a working chalk quarry in bygone days, now a beautiful completely organic garden with rare trees & a vegetable plot, surrounded by woodlands & an ecological natural garden overlooking the meeting of two rivers "la Canche & la Crequoise". Our two picardian longhouses dating from the 1850's & restored in 2004 welcome up to 12 guests in all comfort rooms that are simply decorated with antique furniture and local artisan wares. On the outskirts of a sleepy french country town with excellent facilities, plus in an area of exceptionnel beauty & quality of light that offers many pleasures from the seaside to the countryside for one an all.

Our property is on the outskirts of a sleepy french country town named Beaurainville which is situated 10km from Hesdin a medieval town inland & 10 km from Montreuil-sur-mer , a fortress town towards the sea. About 25 km away is the Opal Coast & the world famous town of Le Touquet/Paris -Plage.

Amenities & services

The rooms are completely independant from our private home. We have the "Poppy Cottage" for 2 to 5 people, that has a living room/kitchen on the ground floor & under the gables there is a large bedroom with a double bed (160/200), on the mezzanine there are 2 single beds plus a shower room(hydro-massage) & private WC. Ideal for a romantic week-end or for a family.

In the 2nd longhouse there is a central kitchen/livingroom plus four bedrooms, the "Rosa" room (160/200), a double bedroom & the "Iris" room, a twin bedroom on the ground floor, both with private shower room & wc plus TV. Under the gables there is the "Tulip" Suite, one double bedroom with private shower room & WC, plus TV & a 2nd double room with a private room with sink & WC. The decoration is simple with either tiled flooring (ground floors) or wooden floorboards (under gables), hand-painted flowers on the walls, antique furniture, local artisan ware's, & high quality embroidered bed linen & towels. A typical french breakfast with croissants is served to our guests and on reservation we can provide a 3 course evening meal using local & home products.
