French Longere – kerstrat, South Brittany.

The property is some 200 years old and falls about 5 mins from the Historic town of Guemene sur scorff.

Kerstrat is a hamlet of some 5/6 dwellings lying in the heart of the wooded country side. It has easy access to the regions delights of the south beaches around Lorient and the man made beaches at Mur de Bretagne.
The property it self consists of 4 bedrooms, to include.
Bedroom 1 – bunkbeds with put me up as well.

Bedroom 2 – double bed with single bed.

Bedroom 3 – single bed which pulls out into a double, also with a single

Bedroom 4 – two single beds.

There are two bathrooms, bath and shower
Well equipped kitchen opening into the large lounge with leather settees, 10’ farm house table that seats 12 and an open fire.
If you’re after relaxation with a host of activities for the kids then this is an ideal retreat. The garden backs on to open fields, offering a great place for the kids to explore with no worries of traffic. The garden also offers a stone built Barbie and bread oven (those that wish to be adventurous) to cook your local delicacies from the local markets.
Travelling couldn’t be easier, either from Plymouth to Roscoff, then 73 miles (1 hour 40 mins) or Portsmouth to St Malo (1 hour 40 mins).
The beaches on the south coast are 35/40 mins by car. The lakes are 20 mins north from the property. Even with the credit crunch wine and food are still cheap and make great holidays if you love the experience of the French cooking.
Guemene itself has 5 bakers, butchers, large grocery store and most things you could wish for. There is even an English speaking tea room for all your local enquiries.
